Help services for self-harm

If you or a friend are self-harming, it’s important that you talk to someone about what you’re going through. There are a number of services available to help. If it’s an emergency, call 000 (if you’re in Australia).

What should I do in an emergency?

What services are available?

In addition to talking with your GP or mental health professional , here are some other services you can contact about self-harm.

headspace is Australia’s National Youth Mental Health Foundation, helping young people aged 12 to 25.
