Warren's journey shows that there's no one right way to be trans. He offers some simple advice to anyone struggling with their sexuality or gender.

You don't have to identify the way people expect you to, and it's okay if you don't feel like one or the other. It's alright to be somewhere in the middle.

Here’s what we learnt from Warren:

  • It's okay to not fit neatly into boxes when it comes to gender or sexuality. There are options for everybody, no matter how you want to identify.

  • You shouldn’t feel like you have to hide. Good friends will love you for who you are.

  • Get to know lots of different types of people who can introduce you to new perspectives and ideas.

  • Self-love is really important – ‘The sooner you come to loving yourself the easier the world's going to be’.
